Participants of this course will get a hands-on, head-first dive into working with an espresso machine. The class will focus on the identification of equipment, basic tasting and troubleshooting practices associated with working behind the espresso bar. Students will have a firm understanding of what it takes to properly pull espresso. An understanding of basic Extraction will take place as tasting is explained. Note that enrolled students will be tasting espresso throughout for palate calibration.
Classes start promptly at 7 p.m. and run approximately an hour to and hour and a half.
